Who We Are
Contained Environmental Solutions Inc. (CES) is a family-owned and operated company built on decades of hands-on experience in the geosynthetics and secondary containment industry. Our story began in 1992 when Tim Birgy entered the geosynthetics industry with North American Lining, a small family-owned company in Kalkaska, Michigan. Starting as a field installer, Tim developed extensive experience in both primary and secondary containment systems, eventually advancing into leadership and management positions. Over the next three decades, Tim continued building his knowledge and expertise through various companies in the industry. His responsibilities expanded to include overseeing field operations, quality control, project scheduling, equipment management, customer relationships, and the design and supervision of containment projects across multiple industries. After more than 30 years in the industry, Tim decided to take his experience in a new direction and establish Contained Environmental Solutions Inc. alongside his wife, Marie, and son, Paul.
Today, CES combines Tim's extensive industry knowledge, Paul's more than 10 years of hands-on field experience, and Marie's office and operations management background to provide dependable, professional containment solutions.
As a family-owned business, we take pride in our work, value the relationships we build with our customers, and believe every project deserves the same attention to detail—regardless of its size.
